The Tigrex armour is great for support builds. You can get a boss set bonus AND still get some attack boost in there.

As a general rule, pure defense means little. Instead, you want to prioritize Evade, Divine Blessing, Rec Speed and so on. Defense is additive. If you are a good player, things like Divine Blessing and Rec Speed are practically multiplicative.

And better evade helps everyone.
