As a heads up, the Forums are now finally fully closed. Discussions is the only thing we'll be using from now on.
What's on your mind?
So while looking up more info on Monster Hunter Stories, I came upon this.
Good day hunters.
For all the editors out there that are currently helping out with editing the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate section of the Wikia, may I request Users to refrain from removing Japanese text from these pages. The japanese characters help in discerning and identifying certain information, and eases up on editing and maintenance work for some of the more experienced editors in the Wikia.
Removal of these text may be viewed as vandalism by the MHWikia Staff, and may result to bannable repercussions.
Hope everyone is enjoying Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate so far. Happy editing, and Happy Hunting!
For those that weren't aware, I've been working closely with Wikia HQ to help our Wikia. A lot of our site views are via mobile, and our layouts are just horrible for mobile view. You might notice some changes around here, but they are for the best of our Wikia so that we can keep getting new viewers and continue being the #1 site for Monster Hunter knowledge. I've also been working directly with Capcom, which has allowed us to get an edge on updates and help improve the Wikia even more.
Hey guys, I've recently added some new features to the Wikia.
Talk pages are pretty outdated, and really a pain to deal with if you think about it. Constantly having to go back and forth between your wall and the other person's wall just to get the full conversation. Now they'll all be contained in one post on the person's wall, and it's more like a comments section that you can just reply to. You don't need to sign them anymore with ~~~~ either! You can access your old Talk Pages with the See archived talk page button at the bottom of your Message Wall.
I'm gonna start building some interactive maps for the Wikia to show what can be gathered and where. Unfortunately I need some higher resolution maps for this idea, but I am gonna see if we can collaborate with Capcom and get some from them.
For now, see this map that I started as an example to mess with; Special:Maps/7970
Hope you guys enjoy these changes, and look forward to more in the near future!
Hey guys, just giving you a heads up on what's going on with the Chat issues. As of August 3rd, Wikia has issued this statement;
Many of you have noticed on your wikias that Chat has been crashing or down in the last few days. Wikia is aware of the issue and actively diagnosing the issue and testing changes to our chat configuration, even over the weekend.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience! We will get you back chatting normally as soon as we possibly can."
So we just have to be patient and wait it out. Chat is still a Beta feature of Wikia, so issues are to be expected.
Hello, so the chatroom seems glitched out or something but I found a link to replace the main chat temporarily
This link will work and it will not crash, until the Main is working we can all enjoy chatting again.
If this happens again, find this forum and click the link above.
Nerusukyura = Nerscylla
Zaboazarigu = Zamtrios
Garara Ajara = Najarala
This keeps getting mentioned so I'm gonna do a post about. Yes, we know some images look blurry on the Wiki but that is not a problem we can correct. The images are just fine but are displaying weird for some reason. The issue is among many Wikis and is up to Central Wikia to fix.
Please DO NOT try to reupload images you see that might be blurry. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
Hey hunters, Capcom is hosting an official Weapon design contest open to US and EU residents!
Note: Questions about the contest should be asked at Capcom-Unity instead.

Hi, all. You may recall a week or two ago that Mckrongs made a post on these forums about building hype for MH4 and obtaining merch items, for a person called Jake,
That's me, and I've finished up everything, and sent the message I planned, as follows. Thanks to everyone who helped!
First off, I want to apologize in advance for the lengthy message. I assume you recieve many messages daily, and this might just be inconvenient for you, but I feel as if you're the voice and face of the Western Monster Hunter community, and I'd appreciate any and all effort you put into reading the entirity of this message.
My name is Jake. We've spoken a while back, around January/February of this month, but you're busy on here so I doubt and don't expect you to remember me. Our little chat was about the region locked servers of MH3U, and a copy/paste message I had a legion of people send to you, and the MH official page on Facebook. Thankfully, that worked, and I'm currently able to hunt with my North American friends. On top of that, a thread on this site was brought to my attention by user "Benster", who happens to be a friend of mine, about the #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST stunt on the Official page. Again, that was my fault. If you can be bothered scrolling down the wall-posts on that page, you'll see the first is by me, "Jake K---------".
But I'm not here to gloat, or ask glory of you. I'm here for a seperate purpose.
I've been a fan of Monster Hunter for as long as I can remember, starting with Monster Hunter back on the PlayStation 2. Since then, at a young age of 10, I've obtained Monster Hunter Freedom, MHF2, MHFU, and purchased a Wii exclusively for Tri, and a Wii U exclusively for MH3U. At the moment, I'm considering importing MH4, and a Japanese 3DS, as many of my friends have already. On top of that, I've got a few Revoltech Monsters and a Plush Tigrex from AmiAmi.com. Easy to say, I'm a big fan.
On top of this, from July of last year, until March of this year, I ran a Facebook Community page entitled "Tigrex", after my favorite Monster. I had a following of 7000 people, but closed it due to personal reasons, mainly University Studies and family life. Regardless, the page allowed me to make a name for myself in the online community of Monster Hunter, and was the reason I was able to spread the message about the region lock. From this page, I was able, with the help of the admin of the 26000 fan "Deviljho" page, to create a Monster Hunter group known as "Le Guild Hall", a place to organise hunts and discuss all things Monster Hunter. Link as follows: https://www.facebook.com/groups/289936367773172/
This is where the forefront of my message comes into play. Many of the members in Le Guild Hall participated in the contesting of the region lock, and the #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST trend on Facebook. And so, I put together a little project.
A few of our members have imported MH4 from Japan, and are currently playing it, including Patrick, the admin of Deviljho, and Minegarde member Kogath. However, this expensive method isn't available to everyone. Not to mention, the, well, y'know, most of us don't speak Japanese.
So, I started a little movement. I called it "Operation: Get Hype Son", a homage to the failed "Operation: Cherry Blossom" all so long ago. My aim was to collect the merchandise images of the members of Le Guild Hall. To my surprise, I ended up gaining participation and support from The Monster Hunter Wiki (including admin McKrongs), Costa Rica's "Tico Hunters Unite", "Monster Hunter Puerto Rico", "4 Puercos Team", "Monster Hunter Peru", "Monster Hunter NYC", "Monster Hunter Community UK", and many more, mostly from Facebook.
After a few weeks, I wanted to present to you, the fruit of my efforts.
It's not much, but it's something. Why did I do this? Why did I send it to you?
Well. I felt this was a way that we could show Capcom that people in the west DO care about the Monster Hunter series. I felt that it could build some hype. And I thought it could bring the community closer together.
I sent it to you because, as I said, I view you as a leader of the Western Community, not to mention an employee of the company. And I felt that you could pass it on to your superiors, or someone that could make a difference.
Now, needless to say, I'm not expecting anything soon. I know how business works. I know that we only just got MH3U about 8-9 months ago, and a release of MH4 at this time would decimate sales. I'm not demanding anything. I just wanted Capcom to see this, and hopefully consider some future planning. It's all because of the love, enjoyment, and friendship I gain from this amazing series. As you know, "In the World of Monster Hunter, you're never alone". Included in that image are some pieces of art from close friends of mine (McKrongs, and the Facebook art page "Ashmish") who contribute to the online community, on top of all the merchandise.
All in all, I just want to say thanks (if you made it this far). Thanks for reading, for putting the time in, and for everything you've done for the community.
With many thanks,
Hey guys, Mckrongs here.
Recently, our Facebook MH community has pulled off a movement that managed to grab the attention of Capcom themselves.
The movement was to post the hashtag #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST onto social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Apparently this grabbed the attention of Capcom and had this to say:
Hey hunters! We've seen many of you ask for us to #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST. We're excited to see the fan base growing and you all showing your passion, keep it coming! We are continuing to evaluate new Monster Hunter titles for the west, and will share any new information with you here on Facebook as soon as we have it..
While this is no indication for a confirmed Western release, this post signifies that Capcom listens to their fans.
Here's where you guys can come in. For our next plan, we are gathering images of every fan's collection of Monster Hunter merchandise. It can be anything, ranging from plush dolls, to copies of an MH game you own, to custom or official MH T-shirts, to MH keychains, to cosplay outfits, to limited edition MH items that you own. It's time to show them our extreme support for the series itself and how we appreciate and love this game. Jake, AKA User:RampagingTigrex is gathering all of these merchandise and has currently 120+ images full of MH merchandise. Here's the message from Jake himself:
There are two ways to send entries:
- Message mine and User:Vesuvius' fanpage with your images at Vespoid.
- Upload at http://imgur.com/ and post here on this thread with the imgur link.
- Please no pirated MH games on the merchandise image.
- Please no sexually explicit content.
- Unlimited entries can be done. The more the better.
- Please do not steal other people's content.
Thank you for your participation in advance. Let us be one of the very active and supportive MH communities in the net. :D
Hey guys. Name's Jake. I used to run a page on Facebook called "Tigrex" from July 2012 to about March of this year, just after MH3U was released. I closed it for personal reasons. ANYWAY I still lead a group with a couple friends, called "Le Guild Hall." Some of our major members include Patrick, admin of the Deviljho page, Kogath from minegarde.com, and your very own Vesuvius and Mckrongs. Whatever, here's the point of this post. You may have seen the #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST tag spammed on the official MH Facebook page. That's in part, my fault. Here's a thread where I had a friend explain my motive to Yuri (Dubindoh): http://www.capcom-unity.com/monster_hunter/go/thread/view/146585/30092915/ok-my-this-was-touching . Basically, I'm trying to build hype for MH4, so that we may see a Western release. My next, and current project, involves collecting screenshots of people's MH merchandise, sent to me or posted in my group Le Guild Hall. What exactly this project is will remain a mystery until I follow through with it. I'm sitting at approximately 120 images, and plan to stop taking submissions by the end of the weekend. I was just curious to see if any of you guys from the Wiki would be interested in contributing. thanks, and keep on hunting!
I just wanted to step in and mention that the avid fan he was talking about, was me.
I ran a Facebook page called Tigrex for 8 months, in which I constantly hyped the fuck out of the MH series. I even led a massive push against the region lock, involving a message sent to Capcom and Yuri (Dubindoh).
Anyway, why I'm here.
These are two groups I own. The top one is Le Guild Hall, where I made the post McKrongs posted to here, where any hunter is welcome. The second is Monster Hunter Australia, a fresh group I'm hoping to grow for the MH fanbase in australia. In both of these, I hope to organise meetups and hunting whenever we can, plus anything else that can add to the hype.
Idk if this is against forum rules, but I'm sure Vesuvius and Maku shouldn't mind considering the friendship we have.
Thanks guys, and let's keep that hype going!
