I'm talking about monsters like the Raths, who's designs drastically changed over the course of the series, or ones like Espinas, who looks pretty similar to its Frontier design but with noticeable changes like smaller spikes and a thicker tail. This could also apply to all monsters in general who got new models in later appearances, even if their actual designs are the same.
What's on your mind?

MH Wikia Suggestions
I was looking around the Icons for something that I wanted to use them for and saw that there are some missing some things
This includes things like the Endemic Life(Specifically from World, Iceborne, and Sunbreak), the Training things used in the training rooms(The Wheel Barrow in Iceborne and Toadversary in Rise for example), and the Borders that are added on monster's own icons/Quest descriptions to show they are enhanced in some way(Hardcore, Zenith, Frenzy, Apex, Hyper, Tempered, Arch- Tempered and Afflicted{Which this one in particular could be used as Icons for the Quirio themselves)
So if anyone can add any of these onto the Wiki itself it would be much appreciated.
We have a map with most locations on it, right? Could we adapt that as an Interactive Map for this wiki since they released that?
Can you add pages for the Rite of Channeling, Rite of Overlapping and Rite of Reversal
Explaining what they do, how to activate them, users of them, how they're used in the game if they appear in the Monster Hunter Stories Game, etc
It's getting old please come up something else. that is all
I feel like that list is unnecessary, especially in those monsters who were there since the very first version.
Wouldn't it be more clean and direct to put Frontier below "Spin-off" only once and say for example "Monster Hunter Frontier G3 onwards"
Hi wiki community, some time ago i did a translation for a personal project for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (See pinned messages at #mhfu in HV discord for details, don't leave links cuz i don't that people think that i'am promoting it or something) and also included there some documentation about the dummys, so was thinking that can be useful to improve this wiki, soo i gonna leave here the link to that documentation, i hope that someone find it useful.
LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/file/o2tjkfm40t3n6e2/EN_Documentation.rar/file
The documentation includes
1. FAQ: A set of frequently asked questions regarding translations and dummy items (Recommended reading).
2. Complete list of all the DLC quest ordered by .mib file number (Recommended reading!): includes quest details, exclusive or more relevant items with their % of drop , and of course, the exclusive items that can be crafted with them and their rarities.
3. List of dummy items interchangeable with the Veggie Elder: Now it will be easier to obtain Polytan and JUMP Bombs!
4. Comparison between the damage of the "dummy" bombs and the other bombs.
5. Summary of all translations contained in the patch. 6. Tutorial of how to make your own patch and edit the text of your iso (in case you want to change something).
6. The description translations masterlist: It is the main text of the documentation and my workstation, where many translations of the dummy items and my decisions about the translation of each items are (in case it gives you curiosity or you want to use the information that is there to translate the dummys names/descriptions into another language)
I've read the rules, originally was about to do another sort of post, so i want to leave something clear: This post is just to leave info about the dummy items that i hope can be useful for the people that maintain this wiki, i'am not promothing something else. You can get in touch with me via discord amaillo#2256
I think some pages like MH Stories or MH Explore have these long walls of text with "here every monster that appears in the game, both old and new".
Am I the only who think this is really unnecessary? Especially when we already have other pages dedicated right to that, like this one for example.
Would it be better and clear to just use the same criteria used for the main games? Reporting there only the newcomers while expanding and listing every single monsters in appropiate pages?
The pages that would need this re-adjustment would be the Stories one, Explore and Riders one (alongside the creation of a page dedicated to all its monsters).
If allowed, I may start doing it myself.
So far I have noticed that the pages for the Tobi-Kadachi and Puke-Pukei carves are just not there.
In some equipment articles, when I'm trying to look for certain armors, the wiki logo appears instead of the desired armor set. Why is that?
They are LITERALLY described as flying wyverns. It'd make sense to add Scalebat to the Flying Wyvern section, but with only an image and a name only; no link.
Hi, I'm a bureaucrat for Wikizilla, and lately we've been debating if we should cover the upcoming Monster Hunter film on our site. It might seem like an odd fit at first, but the studio that created Godzilla is co-funding it and will distribute it in Japan.
I was surprised to discover this wiki did not have a page for the movie already, so I'd like to know if you have any plans to cover it yourselves. I don't mean to sway you one way or another, but your decision may influence ours, as we try to avoid too many redundancies with other wikis.
Does anyone else thing this wiki's format is...chaotic? not to insult the contributors, you guys are doing great, but some wikis will have the status effectiveness box while others don't, some have the weak points while others don't, some link to their armor while others don't.
I think a rework would be nice, I don't mind helping out ofc and maybe it's just me but i think if this was more uniform it'd look nicer. I can't help with anything outside of MHW.
Just a little something that came up in my mind. Do you guys think that we should add a Threat Level Category to Every monster, you know show how strong or weak the monster is or how dangerous. Or add stars levels on every monster infobox. Or do we have something like that in the wiki?
(i found this image later and this what i was thinking of)
I'm not sure the reasoning behind some articles being locked and some not, but there are heavy inaccuracies, and issues with many locked articles. the Generations Ultimate article is a good example.
With the Iceborns' info on it's own seperate page from World's, and seperate listings for the G/Ultimate versions of other games. I think Iceborn should be added to the banner's dropdown.
I also think there should be a "Are you look for Other Version?" added to the top of a game's pages before the main descriptor, for people who didn't realize there was a diffrence or came from an outside link, like a google search. A simple "Did you mean MH: Generations Ultimate" on the Generations' page just help redirect people to the correct game easly with out haveing to hunt the sites ui to find the correct page, and some pages like Gen's doesn't have a link to GU anywhere in it's main body untill you get to the game listings at the very bottom of the page.
Hear me out okay.
An umbrella weapon would be so cool. There’d be a lot of versatility as well.
If people have any suggestions to this idea please input below.
When umbrella is closed: Firstly this umbrella has a customisable skin (cover) which can be swapped in game a bit like arrow types. they’d be elemental, so you got get a fire umbrella which is burning or a lighting umbrella which is infused with lighting.
The cover could be a sort of metal sheet that is attached onto the umbrella. This would mean it could used as a sort of sword.
These covers could either be replaced by elemental forms of the sheet, or just be transformed into an elemental form via use of a specific item. This allows for strategic use of different covers depending on the monster you’re fighting. It perhaps could be that you get a base type of cover but you imbue it with a liquid that makes it elemental etc.
Without any elemental it could be used as either a blunt weapon, or a slash sword. I think without it being imbued with the elemental liquid, the metal sheet would a sufficient sharp weapon.
It could also have a range option so at the tip of the gun it can fire one or two bullets, making for really interesting combos.
When umbrella is opened: It could be used as a shield, blocking incoming attacks and perhaps it’s ranged mode could have a greater ammo supply instead of the limited supply.
For upgrading and grinding maybe it’s the type of metal on the umbrella or, scales of the bigger monsters.
I’ve had this idea for a while. But I’ve not fully realised it. I feel like there are improvements to be made on the base idea. What do you think? Would it be too versatile?
I think it would make for many epic combos as you slash shoot and defend with the umbrella.
