Banbaro is a Brute Wyvern first introduced in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

Appearance[]

Banbaro is a large and heavy-set Brute Wyvern. Most of its body is covered in stout white fur, with portions on its head, legs, and arms being covered in gray scales. Its giant horns are its defining characteristic. These stout, pinkish horns end in broad, moose-like antlers. When enraged, a small horn-like projection on its snout folds out.

Behavior and Abilities[]

Banbaro is normally a fairly docile herbivore, but it is territorial and can be aggressive when provoked.

In battle, Banbaro charge opponents while digging up soil or fallen trees. Digging up soil allows it to smash the gathered ball in a huge blast of debris that leaves a hindering pile behind, while digging up trees widens the charge's hitbox and can be thrown as projectiles. Digging up volcanic rock causes it to leave trails of lava behind. It can also use its tail to sweep away debris piles.

In-Game Description[]

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
A monster marked by its furious charge and by the majestic twin horns that uproot trees and gouge at the earth as it runs.
Monster Hunter Now
A monster recognizable by the pair of gigantic horns atop its head. It rushes forward while scraping the ground with its horns, with nearby trees sometimes even getting caught up in its headlong attacks.

Hunting Tips[]

This monster wildly gallops around hunters in all directions. They are especially dangerous when wielding dug-up rocks and fallen trees to attack, so focus heavily on evasion during such instances. If its hindlegs are broken it may topple over mid-lunge, allowing for a chance to enact a counter-attack. In addition, by breaking either its hindlegs or horns, its soft flesh will be revealed, so focus your assault on these body parts.
