Canynes have the appearance of a canid. Majority of them are indigo in color with white highlights and a white X marking on their forehead. They have pointy ears and a long tail. Though they can come in varieties of colors, ear and tail shapes, and different markings.
Behavior and Abilities
In the Kamura Village, where they exclusively live in, Canynes are trained to become Hunting Buddies for hunters, similar to Felynes. Hunting Buddy Canynes are called "Palamutes". They are capable of moving at high speed, as well as performing a drift that results in a speed burst for a short time. They can also jump very high and even climb vertical vines.
Canynes are very intelligent. Various orders can be given to them. They are also capable of using various types of weapons specially designed for them to assist the hunter(s). They are strong enough to carry a hunter on their back without dropping in speed. Similar to Felynes, they are capable of wearing armors specially designed for them.
