In-Game Information[]

MH4U-Chaotic Gore Magala Icon

Gore Magala that have fallen into chaos, having been denied their evolution into Shagaru Magala. They maintain their original power, while possessing the potential of Shagaru Magala, making them incredibly unstable. Sometimes this leads them to fall into a state of anguish and violence. When attacking their prey, they repeatedly fold and unfurl their wings, as if to show their internal struggle with their own form.

Taxonomy[]

  • Order: Elder Dragon
  • Suborder: Revolving Dragon
  • Family: Magala
  • Species: Gore Magala

Chaotic Gore Magala is a rare special Gore Magala individual that has failed to molt properly into a Shagaru Magala and has only molted half way on one side of its body. This failure to molt has to do with molting in the vicinity of a Shagaru Magala's territory and effects from the Shagaru Magala's virus prevent the Gore Magala from molting properly. The Chaotic Gore Magala cannot molt into the Shagaru Magala or revert back to Gore Magala due to the mutation being permanent. Just like Gore Magala, Chaotic Gore Magala is in the ??? class.

Habitat Range[]

The Chaotic Gore Magala's known habitats are the Heaven's MountEverwood and Ruined Pinnacle in the Old World. It has also been seen in areas in recent years such as Shrine Ruins, Flooded Forest (MHRise), Infernal Springs, Jungle (MHRS), Citadel, and the Forlorn Arena (MHRS).

Ecological Niche[]

Chaotic Gore Magala, like normal Gore Magala and Shagaru Magala, are a predator high in the food chain. Common prey includes Gargwa, Slagtoth, Rhenoplos, Aptonoth and any other herbivores or smaller predators though Chaotic Gore Magalas rarely feed on prey. Despite their deadly strength and weaponry, these beasts must compete with other large predators. Such predators include Najarala, Rathalos, Nerscylla, Tigrex, Seltas Queen, Brachydios, Seregios, and other Elder Dragons. Despite this competition, Chaotic Gore Magalas don't show any scars or injuries on their bodies and this is due to most predators tending to avoid these monsters at all costs. Those who encounter Chaotic Gore Magala such as Tigrex are killed on sight by it, showing how high it is in the food chain.

Biological Adaptations[]

Chaotic Gore Magala has many of the same adaptions as Gore Magala, however, has a few minor differences. On one side of its body, it has some traits from Shagaru Magala. It has partially developed scales on its wing, neck, and head that come from its adult form. The horn on its head isn't fully developed and has really no use, unlike a Gore Magala's antennae. One of the most disturbing traits is its "eye". This eye doesn't seem to have developed completely, meaning the eye could be useless to it. Disturbingly when in its Frenzy State, this eye can be seen glowing red though very rarely. Due to only one side partially developing, its strength is far greater than a normal individual. This side of Chaotic Gore Magala possesses the immense strength and power a Shagaru Magala typically has.

Behavior[]

Chaotic Gore Magala is a lot more aggressive and a lot more violent than normal Gore Magala. This is due to their failed molting causing them constant pain. This results in the Chaotic Gore Magala being a constant unstable state. This has also changed their habits compared to a normal Gore Magala. It has even been found that Chaotic Gore Magala are slowly dying from the virus after failing to molt properly. It is known to attack anything it senses through its black scales, a sign of it possibly fighting for its life.
