Ena (Japanese エナ) is a female Wyverian from Rutoh Village and a friend of the Protagonist's grandfather, Red. She entrusts the Protagonist with the Egg that contains Razewing Ratha and becomes the his/her traveling companion to fulfill Red's unfinished task and discover the truth behind the mysterious events surrounding the mysterious disappearances of the Rathalos, the Raged-Rays Pits, and the Wings of Ruin.
Personality
Ena is described as someone who is honest with her feelings. Generally calm and strong willed, Ena has a disposition to act on her own, especially if it involves the safety and wellbeing of her friends. Going as far to endanger her own life if it means protecting others, regardless of who they are, as seen with Zellard.
She demonstrates fascination and interest in humans. Being amazed by how relatively quickly they change and grow, and views their lives as having value despite how short their life spans are compared to her own.
Background
Ena is from Rutoh Village and is a descendant of its Village Elder. Although her village preferred to be distanced to humans, she ends up being befriended by the Rider, Red who becomes well liked among the villagers along with his Monstie, Guardian Ratha. She has known Red since he was a child and throughout his constants visits, does she eventually discover the environmental abnormalities that happens outside her village.
She accompanies Red to discover the secret behind the abnormalities but ends up in a terrible event that led to Red's death. The death of Red deeply impacted her, and when she heard of Guardian's Ratha survival, she took it upon herself to journey to Hakolo Island against the wishes of Alwin. It is there she meets Guardian Ratha who gives her the egg of Razewing Ratha.
Appearance
Ena has apricot skin, pointy elf-like ears, short pale mint green-white hair and red eyes. She wears an elbow-length puffy sleeved green shirt with brown and yellow vambraces around her hands and yellow tassles on the front, a brown belt with a golden buckle, a blue shirt with a pale blue symbol on the front, a dark brown choker around her neck with a gold pendant and brown boots. Her green shirt also has purple and periwinkle wing-like symbols located on the shoulders and orange ropes that are tied into knots. She also has 4 small blue gems located on the top of her hair.
