Erupe are Herbivores first introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Season 9.0.
Physiology
They have a very similar appearance to Kelbi and Anteka. Unlike them, though, Erupe have primarily white fur with dark brown on their backs. They are generally small monsters, and have large, dark brown, curled horns atop their heads.
Habitat
Erupe so far have only been spotted in the Highland — most commonly in the lower altitude regions and cliff sides.
Behaviour
Erupe are peaceful herbivores, even more so than their relatives Kelbi. They are also very curious in behavior, going as far as flocking around potential threats like hunters. In some cases where hunters perform gestures such as siting or sleeping when surrounded by Erupe, the Erupe will follow by laying down and sleeping besides the hunters. If threatened in any way by predators, hunters or the unstable weather of the highlands, Erupe will evacuate the area immediately.

Notes
General Notes
- When a hunter does certain gestures near an Erupe, it will perform a corresponding action.
- Unlike other herbivores, an Erupe's gender can be determined by looking at its horns.
- Erupe may follow and sniff at hunters, or sleep beside them if they do the "sit" or "lay down" gestures, as long as there is no large monster in the area and as long as the hunter does them no harm.
