So, as most of us have discovered, in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, if you wave to the Elder Dragon Observation balloon you get ESP for a few seconds. But, what if you could summon the balloon to you with a felyne skill like ballooner or a different gesture? It could land, then you could board it for a fee. It could have a small shop of sorts to buy whetstones, shots, and potions. Also, it would fly to the monster you are chasing. It could be equipped with a weapon similar to the Ballista, with maybe 5 or 6 of the double shots, usable once you enter the same area as the monster. It could lower to the ground, maybe ten feet, then there could be a short cutscene or animation in which your hunter leaps from the balloon and then you can begin to attack the monster. But, you could only use this once per quest, or twice for huge elders, such as Lao Shan Lung and Shen Gaoren. Any improvements or suggestions?

I think that its actually not a bad idea! I just think that it shouldn't have the ballistas or anything it should just come down to you and sell random things. Not take you to the monster just sell things
When I think about it its not really a bad idea but the part were you fight the monster is bad. Those balloons were made to observe the fight and dropping you off were the monsters are the monsters will 100% likely attack the balloon.
In Frontier, during the fight with the Raviente subspecies, you can get a balloon that hovers in place and shoots some kind of cannon. -UhhJoeyL
