The ecology of a monster, even with the videos expressing the life of that species, merely for entertainment value, also represents that these animals are all part of an ecosystem, and do more than attack hunters and ransack small farms and towns. Just as all animals, from lions to mice, have a place in the ecosystem, so do the vast number of wyverns, herbivores, and all other such creatures. I personally think that observation quests would be truely interesting. One example is from Monster Hunter Tri, with the Lagiacrus capture quests. An oceanographic group wants to observe it, so I don't see why a hunter couldn't do that...

Acctually sounds kind of neat. You could be sent out to track a giant wyvern without being seen and watch it go through its daily routine.

so... how would they work? Cobalt32 22:31, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

i'm not the one who started this wish but i was thinking it would work like this. the observation quest would take part on different environments, you are given a huge amount or even an unlimited amount of time, you are required not to kill or if possible not to be seen by the monster, it would start on noon then end at night, the monster does all its activites like hunting prey feeding its hatchlings and other activities then when it sleeps you capture it for more research., -kIdMohawk- 00:23, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

I actually think this would be kinda cool to do. I mean sure it would be very time consumeing, but what part of monster hunter isn't time consumeing already? I would actually like to watch a Kirin or a White Fatalis go through its daily life! See what they see, eat, hear, fear, avoid, live, sleep, hunt, and poop... ah I mean mate... agh I mean raise there own. I honestly think this would make a good addition to the monster hunter universe of activities. Ooh, and how cool would it be to watch a Rajang to possibly play around with its child! On one hand, it sounds oddly out of place in a game about killing monsters, but on the other hand, getting an interactive ecology video sounds pretty cool! Cobalt32 14:05, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

The only monster that even really ever has a ecosystem effect is the aponoth with walk and graze and travel and act funny when a rathian or great jaggi is in the next zone,And a little for how lagi with blast gobel with triple light blasts to make it flee.
