Giggi are Flying Wyverns introduced in Monster Hunter 3.
Physiology
Spawning from large organic globules called "Giggi Sacs" whithin in dark caves, Giggi are relatively featureless. They have grey bodies with purple markings, small stubby arms, and round mouths with small though sharp teeth used to drain their victims bodily fluids.
Abilities
Giggi are capable of producing their own poison, however it is very weak thus they leech onto and drain the blood of other beings including Hunters to nourish themselves and grow bigger aswell as create their poison.
Behavior
Giggi are not exactly aggressive but they are gluttonous, trying to chase down and leech onto anything they deem as a prey item, though they do flee upon exposure to light like that from a torch.
Habitat
Despite their parents only really living in the Tundra, Giggi and their cocoons can be found in all kinds of areas from the Volcano to the Flooded Forest.

Notes
General Notes
- The name derives from the Malay word gigi, meaning "teeth".
- As a Giggi sucks the hunter's blood, it starts to increase in size, but will only reach a certain body mass.
- Giggi can be found in every environment in Monster Hunter 3, but its adult form, Gigginox, can only be found in the Tundra.
- However, in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, they can be found only in the Tundra.
- Despite not having wings or legs, Giggi are still classified as Flying Wyverns, most likely due to just being juvenile Flying Wyverns.
- If a Giggi is not shaken off it may inflict the hunter with poison.
- When hit twice with a torch, Giggi will flee by hiding underground.
- Before flying at a hunter, Giggi will scrunch up for a few seconds. This is a good warning. At this point, the hunter can move and Giggi won't reaim.
- In Monster Hunter Diary, Giggi are found in the Khezu-Quest, while there is no Gigginox in the Game.
- If a Giggi is attached to a hunter, Cha-Cha or Kayamba may attack the hunter to get the Giggi off.
- If a Giggi Sac is present, but no Gigginox, the Giggi will attack Baggi to defend the sac.
