Great Apiposu are Bird Wyverns introduced in Monster Hunter Explore.
Physiology
They appear as Great Wroggi with Apiposu features, however they also have large yellow patches on their backs, small yellow tips to their tails, glowing blue throat sacs, much larger ears, and a small curved "beard" (a Pharaohs false beard) like protrusion on the lower jaws.
Abilities
Like their underlings the Apiposu they have throat sacs that store mud which they can upchuck at opposition, much like G Rank Great Wroggi they also have an extra breath attack, but replace the more concentrated poison cloud with a larger mud shot.
Behavior
They act as the pack leaders of the Apiposu and are aggressive to intruders to their territory.
Habitat
Much like the Apiposu they mainly inhabit deserts but can also be found wandering in the Battlequarters.
