Green Plesioth is a Piscine Wyvern and Subspecies of Plesioth introduced in Monster Hunter G.

Physiology

Green Plesioth is identical in body structure to the common species. It differs greatly in coloration however, featuring deep green scales along with white and purple striped spines and fins.

Abilities

Green Plesioth is a highly adept swimmer, which gives it a distinct advantage over human hunters during underwater combat. It is able to wield its water sac with more skill and precision than the common species.

Behavior

Green Plesioth is a highly aggressive wyvern. It has an uncanny ability to determine if there are multiple hunters in an area. Like normal Plesioth, the Green Plesioth loves frogs, which can be used to fish them out of the water. This subspecies is known to travel ashore to attack opponents and prey on land when enraged.

Habitat

The Green Plesioth has been seen in the Desert, Old Desert, Jungle, and Old Jungle of the Old World. In the Moga region Green Plesioth are found in the Deserted Island and Flooded Forest.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 / Monster Hunter Freedom Unite An enormous, flightless, aquatic wyvern with wings that have evolved into fins for swimming. Although superficially fish-like, they can move on land as well. They love frogs. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate A subspecies of Plesioth with jade-green scales. Though primarily aquatic, the creature's movements are equally adept both in and out of water. When enraged, it has a habit of surfacing to rampage on land. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin A subspecies of Plesioth named for their jade-green scales. Astonishingly agile and tenacious, they aggressively pursue their target on land or in water, destroying everything in their path untill they catch their prey. Monster Hunter Frontier G (?)

• Green Plesioth goes on land more often than compared to Plesioth, it also is more likely to go on land when enraged.
• Green Plesioth can be fished out using a frog, making it vulnerable to attacks for a short time.
• Green Plesioth was voted 181st place in the Hunters' Choice for Top Monster during Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary. 

Monster Hunter Freedom

They have the ability to put hunters to sleep when they jump over the player after leaping from the water. This ability to put its prey to sleep has been retained in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite; now they can leap out of the water to put hunters to sleep with even greater ease than before.

Green Plesioth is able to fire a sweeping water blast while underwater.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

A young Green Plesioth appears as a cameo, swimming off the coast of Cheeko Sands.

• There is a minigame where the Palicoes can fish out the young Green Plesioth and earn Green Plesioth materials, but Green Plesioth will only appear occasionally after completing 8★ Gathering Hall Quest Advanced: Chumming The Waters.
