Guardian Rathalos is a Construct based on Rathalos, first introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Physiology[]
Guardian Rathalos have distinctive glowing veins over their head, body, wings, and legs in addition to white patterns on their wings and pale red scales. They have solid black eyes.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Like other Guardians, Guardian Rathalos can harness the power of Wyvern Milk to enhance and sustain themselves, gaining greater power. Their claw attacks release powerful explosions that create Wylkrystals if they come into contact with pools of Wyvern Milk, which they can then detonate using Fire attacks. Their wounds regenerate if not quickly destroyed.

General Notes
- Guardian Rathalos was the very first Construct monster be revealed other than the flagship monster Guardian Arkveld.
- Repeatedly destroying Guardian Rathalos's wounds before they can regenerate will topple it and deplete its power, rendering it temporarily unable to cause explosions or regenerate wounds. The next time it changes areas, it will absorb energy, leaving itself vulnerable for an extended period of time.
- Guardian Rathalos has a Turf War with Xu Wu, Guardian Fulgur Anjanath and Quematrice.
- It has the standard area battle theme during its fight rather than the new Rathalos theme the base monster recieved.
- Despite its name, it has nothing to do with Guardian Ratha from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
