Heaven's Mount Map
Heaven's Mount gather points
The Heaven's Mount is an area first introduced in Monster Hunter 4. It is located high above the ground in a mountain range seemingly suspended in the clouds, due to the area being subject by large roots. The land is unstable, and large chunks of the mountain can be seen falling all around. This area is home to many wild monsters, such as Rathalos, Seltas Queen, and Zinogre. It is within close proximity of Cathar, and the area is known well by its people. Both the Sanctuary and Speartip Crag are known to be nearby.
Geography[]
Heaven’s Mount is a towering landscape made up of steep cliffs, suspended platforms, and ancient ruins bound together by thick vines and roots. The base of the mountain holds dense forests, waterfalls, and scattered ruins, while higher areas become more unstable, with windy ledges, falling rocks, and precarious platforms hanging in the sky. Mid-level zones provide broken paths, gaps between cliff faces, and shattered terrain, while the upper sections are fragile, flat areas that can collapse under strain. Though Area 8 is the highest point players can reach, it is only a wyvern nest.
Basecamp[]
Suspended high in the sky.
Basecamp is set high in the sky, suspended between jagged crags with the opposite side leading toward the Sanctuary. In the background, prerendered images of Rathian and Rathalos can be seen circling above, while falling rocks and strong winds add to the sense of danger. The camp itself is held together by thick vines and roots, woven into ancient ruins that give the location a haunting and mysterious atmosphere.
Area 1[]
It is near the foot of the mountain.
Area 1 is an inclined zone positioned near the foot of the mountain, providing access to multiple parts of Heaven’s Mount at once. Its craggy, broken paths branch out to other areas, making it a central point of movement. Scattered broken ruins hint at an ancient presence, while from here one can clearly see the forested expanse of Area 2.
Area 2[]
At the foot of the Heaven's Mount.
Area 2 is a secluded zone nestled within a dense forest at the base of the mountain. It features multiple levels of terrain, creating vertical depth and varied pathways. A waterfall cascades in the background, while a steady leaf-fall effect gives the area a serene yet atmospheric quality.
Area 3[]
This area is near the peak and has multiple elevations.
Area 3 is a towering zone made up of multiple elevated levels, suspended high in the sky and held together only by thick vines and roots. With no supporting structures beneath it, the area feels precarious and unstable. Strong winds sweep through constantly, while loose rocks tumble down.
Area 4[]
Area 8 is visble from here.
Area 4 is a narrow ledge hanging high in the sky where Felynes like to rest. From here, the highest point of the area, Area 8, can be seen clearly. The place is windy, and rocks often fall, making it a risky spot. Can be considered as the "Felyne Village" of the area.
Area 5[]
Held together by thick roots.
Area 5 is a broken cliffside of the mountain with several levels of height and patches of dry vegetation. Ancient ruins and shattered parts of the mountain can be seen hanging in the air, held up by thick vines and roots. The ground has a slight rise, while strong winds blow through and rocks fall in the background.
Area 6[]
Battered by perpetual lightening storm.
Area 6 is located near the foot of the mountain and close to the forest of Area 2. The terrain is mostly flat, with many ruins and scattered structures spread across the area. In the distance, lightning storms can be seen flashing, adding a dramatic backdrop to the rocky mountain.
Area 7[]
Stability between the cliffs.
Area 7 is a flat zone that looks like a cave at first but is actually a gap between two cliff faces. The space is held together by thick, giant roots, and light shines through the opening between the cliffs, giving the area a striking appearance. Monsters usually rest here,
Area 8[]
Held together by the roots and vines.
Area 8 is a mostly flat zone held together by thick vines and roots, high up in the sky. The area can collapse under certain monster attacks, making it unstable. A diffused blue filter covers the surroundings because of its extreme height. While it may feel anticlimactic since it is only a wyvern nest and not the true peak, it is still the highest accessible point of the mountain.
Notes[]
- Area 8 of this map is unique in that its entire floor can be caused to fall away by monster attacks, creating a steep incline mid-battle.
