The site consists in mountains that seem to float since they are subject by roots. There are ruins -similar to those found in the [[Unknown Sea of Trees]] and the [[Ancestral Steppe]]- where great chunks fall from due to the instability of the area, which is believed to be caused by [[Dara Amadyura]].

The Heavenly Mountain is an area first introduced in Monster Hunter 4. It is located high above the ground in a mountaiin range seemingly suspended in the clouds. The land is unstable, and large chunks of the mountain can be seen falling all around. This area is home to many wild monsters, such as Rathalos, Seltas Queen, and Zinogre. It is within close proximity of Shinato Village, and the area is known well by its people.
