Monster Hunter Wiki

In most regions, certain monsters and locations are under the jurisdictions of the Hunter's Guild. However, each district of the Hunter's Guild is known to have their own hunting grounds and monsters. Due to this, not all of them share the exact same places and bounty as another district of the Guild.

Notes[]

  • Though the Hunter's Guild is connected together, each district of it prefers to work alone. This means that not every district is aware of new discoveries made by the other, such as locations and monsters. For example, the Mezeporta district wasn't aware of the existence of the Exotic Species, such as Deviljho, until very recently, while the Loc Lac district was very much aware of said monsters.
  • The Wycademy's council has limited jurisdictions. This means that they aren't aware of some monsters known to the Hunter's Guild or other corporations.
  • In Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Minegarde Town is blocked off due to a landslide. Due to this unfortunate event, staff members and quests from Minegarde Town are sent to the Dundorma district so hunters can handle them.
    • This is why hunters are able to go to locations from the first generation in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
  • This is the reason why some monsters and locations aren't seen in certain games.
