A vivid red species of small carnivores often found in subtropical zones. Sacs in their throat contain a powerful poison that slowly drains the Health of their prey.

Ioprey are a part of the Bird Wyvern class. Ioprey are a Subspecies of Velociprey that evolved to different environments.
Habitat Range[]
Ioprey live mainly in Volcanoes but also have been seen in Swamps and Jungle. There is a report of Ioprey in Deserts at night.
Ecological Niche[]
Like its Velociprey, Genprey, and Giaprey relatives, Ioprey aren't particularly high in the food chain, despite their own ferocity as a predator. Yet, a whole pack can take on anything they choose, from Apceros and Aptonoths, to even small wyverns like Yian Kut-Ku, as long as their poison kills it. Their main prey, however, is Neopterons like Hornetaur and Vespoid along with insects.
Biological Adaptations[]
Living in very unlikely places, such as the volcano. Poison sacs are located in its mouth below its crest, which are used to spit poison at foes, in order to kill it faster. Unlike its fellow raptors, the Ioprey does not possess the large claw, long fangs, or sharp claws on its forelimbs and back legs. Instead, the Ioprey relies solely on its poison, strength, and poison-filled fangs. Ioprey have poison-filled scales on their body make many predators think twice before attacking them. Even the bones of a Ioprey has poison in it.
Behavior[]
Ioprey will attack any threats on sight, however, they will back off if the threat is to big for them to handle. Ioprey nest in Volcanic zone caves and mining tunnels.
