At this stage of their lives, Jaggi are mostly pink, with purple foreclaws, back-stripe, and head-frills, and with cream-colored underbellies. Their tails are barbed along the length of the appendage, and they sport sizable frills like the Frilled Lizard sprouting from behind their jaws, possibly for making themselves look bigger to other monsters.
Behavior
Though Jaggi and their kind display a higher functioning level of cooperation than other Raptors, Jaggi are often easily dealt with, even for novice Hunters. This is due, in part, to their boisterous nature; Jaggi will often spend just as much time vocalizing bark-like warnings against intruders as they will attacking them.
Highly social, carnivorous bird wyverns found in large packs. Young Jaggi males hunt in groups, attacking much larger animals. Current research suggests they operate under orders from an alpha male. Aggressive but wary of fire.
Highly social, carnivorous bird wyverns that live in large packs. Young Jaggi males hunt in groups when attacking larger animals, and have been known to steal wyvern eggs. Research suggest they operate under orders from a single alpha male.

Notes
General Notes
Jaggi are naturally afraid of fire and will often not attack a Hunter holding a torch. However, they will sometimes take advantage of the moment when the Hunter's back is turned. This fear of fire can be exploited to make gathering when surrounded much more simple. If struck twice by torch-attacks, Jaggi will usually flee, leaving the area temporarily. This can sometimes prove a quicker way of evacuating an Area full of Jaggi than actually slaying the group. Jaggia respond identically to torches. (Note that in the Level 2 Urgent Village Quest, Jaggi and Jaggia encountered must be slain! Scaring them away will only prolong the quest).
