Jaggia are female members of the Jaggi family, a Raptorial Bird Wyvern species, and something of a parallel to the "Prey" species of other regions.
Jaggia are noticeably larger and bulkier than the immature males of the species, Jaggi, and are mostly blue-ish purple in hue, the exceptions being orange areas along their limbs and the sides of their necks and cream-colored underbellies. Their tails, unlike males of the species, have no barbs, and instead have a soft feather-like hanging accent near their ends. Their frills, located behind their jaws, are also more subdued than in other Jaggi variations, and hang limply.
Other members of the Jaggi family include the young male Jaggi, and the pack-leading alpha male Great Jaggi.
Jaggia and their kin display a higher functioning level of cooperation than other small Bird Wyverns, and are more of a challenge than the smaller Jaggi due to their greater resilience and larger area of attack. They do, however, still spend a nominal amount of time "barking" at threats, and still rarely prove much of a challenge lest a hunter find themselves surrounded. It is also notable that, unlike most other minions, Jaggia are sometimes found sleeping.

Notes
- Jaggia, like other members the Jaggi family, are naturally afraid of fire and will often not attack a hunter holding a torch, but will sometimes if the hunter has his/her back turned. This can be used to make gathering when surrounded simpler and easier. If struck twice by torch-attacks, Jaggia will usually flee, leaving the area temporarily. This can sometimes prove a quicker way of evacuating a group of Jaggia than actually slaying them. Jaggi respond identically to torches. (Note that in the Level 2 Urgent Village Quest, Jaggi and Jaggia encountered must be slain! Scaring them away will only prolong the quest).
- Jaggia can and will be summoned by Great Jaggi. Jaggia will only be summoned in areas in which they can normally appear. Otherwise, only Jaggi will be summoned.
- Jaggia will attack a Rathian if they are in the same area.
- Jaggia can be stunned.
- While a large monster is in the area, Jaggia and Jaggi may sit off to the side and watch. The Jaggi will usually not attack until a Jaggia tries an attack.
- Jaggia may lay down and sleep. They can stay asleep while a hunter kills other Jaggi, Jaggia, or a G. Jaggi in the same area.
