Kunafa, Windsong Village is a village introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds. It is located in the Windward Plains.
Civilization[]
Kunafa is the home of a tribe of livestock farmers in the Windward Plains, who domesticate the Seikret for transportation, and the Dalthydon for fur and milk from which they make the delicious cheese the tribe is famous for.
The Sandfolk of Kunafa (as they are called) wear clothing combining the fur and feathers of their livestock, demonstrating their connection to and reliance on them. Also they decorate themselves with tribal face paint and horns carved from bone to signify their position in the village.
As the tribes of the Forbidden Lands are unfamiliar with hunting large monsters, the village protects itself by hanging shards of Fulgurite crystal like windchimes across the village, as the sound they make as they rattle in the wind resembles the vocalizations of the Windward Plains' local apex predator.
During the Sandtide, the Sandfolk take shelter in their domed clay homesteads, decorated with fulgurite crystals.
Every so often, women from the village will leave to collect water from the local river in clay pots.
