MHF1: Guild Quests

For Beginner

The Guild Hall (or Gathering Hall) is a facility where you can play solo or with other Players. The obvious Difference between Village and Guild Quests are the fact, that Guild Quest comes in three distinct difficulties:

1★-3★ = Low Rank

• Similar difficulty to Village Quests.
  • Mosts Quests are available from the start.
• Most Materials can be gained in Village Quests too.

4★+5★ = High Rank

• The medium difficulty, Monster does way more damage and have more health.
• 4★-Quests are available from the start.
• Many rare Materials available in Low-Rank, are more common in High-Rank
  • Some Materials like the Rathian Plate are only available in High-Rank or higher.

6★-Urgent = G-Rank

• The highest difficulty suited for people who likes a challenge. Unprepared Hunters may be killed easily by a Mosswine.
• Unlike lower Ranks it is common that you won't start in the Main Camp.
  • This is the only way you can start in a Secret Area.
  • Swamp, Desert and Volcano are the only areas that has a Secret Area
• Many rare Materials are exclusive in G-Rank.
  • Many common Materials can't be found on this Rank.

Hunter Rank

• To unlock more difficult Quests you need to raise your Hunter Rank.
  • 1★-4★-Ranks are available from the Start.
• To raise your Hunter Rank you need to complete "Key"-Quests.
  • Only the current highest ★-Rank contain "Key"-Quests.
• Completing every "Key"-Quest unlocks the "Urgent"-Quest.
  • Completing an "Urgent"-Quest raises your HR by 1 and the next ★-Rank is unlocked
• Only the player that posted the "Urgent"-Quest raises its HR after completing the Quest.
  • If a player assists in a quest that they don't have unlocked themselves, won't be marked as completed for them.
• Raising your HR to 3, you gain access to the Quest Maiden in Blue for G-Rank Quests.

Differences to Village Quests

• The Quests are suited for multiple Players and the monsters are tougher and hit harder than in Village Quests.
  • It is possible to Solo every Quest, but it will take longer that way.
• Most High and G-Rank Materials are exclusive to Guild-Quests.
  • Therefore more powerful weapon and armor are locked behind Guild-Quests.
• Purple Gypceros, Red Khezu, Black Diablos, Ashen Lao-Shan Lung, Fatalis and Crimson Fatalis can only be hunted in Guild-Quests.

How to Read

Urgent or Key

• Key Quest Complete every quest of this type on your current ★-Rank to unlock an Urgent Quest.
• Urgent Quest Complete this Quest to unlock the next ★-Rank.
• Optional Quest Self-explanatory, these are Quests for gathering materials.

Quest Info

• Objective: Shows your goal for the quest. In-Game Subspecies' aren't listed as a different monster, but they are here. If you fail the objective, or don't complete it within the time limit, the quest is failed.
• Quest Rewards: If you complete a quest, you will be rewarded with materials. Some are rarer than others and amount of materials differs too. Some rewards may even require to break a monster part to be granted as a reward.
• Reward: For each faint you lose 33,3% of the possible rewards. Fainting three times will make the reward 0%, thus failing the quest.
• Contract Fee: The entry fee to go on a quest, you get double the amount back if you complete a quest. Abandoning a quest will forfeit the Contract Fee, which means that the Guild keeps it and you can't get it back. The same happens for quest failure.
• Time Limit: The amount of time you have to finish a quest. If the Timer reaches Zero and the Objective is not achieved, the Quest fails.
• Location: The Location the Quest takes place. Some areas are very cold or hot so bring some Cool or Hot Drinks with you.
• Environment: An area is marked as "Unstable" if a monster, that is not the main objective, has invaded the location.
• HR Points: Finish a quest to gain Guild Points. For each faint during a quest, you will lose 10 Pts.
• Requirement: If there are other objectives you have to do first, this line will show up, otherwise it's absent.
• Monsters: Other big and small Monsters that appear during the Quest and are an integral obstacle during it.
• Requestor The individual or group who requested the Quest.
• Description The flavor text of the Quest.
• Notes Useful Information like Spawn Locations or obstructed Areas/Paths. For more Information see the next Section.

• Hint: Hints for the Quest like an Easy Route during an Egg Hunt etc.
• Area: Recommended Area to fight a monster in (reason why it's recommended)
• Cutscene: When visiting an area for the first time, it is possible that some areas may trigger Cutscenes.
• Spawn: the Spawn Area of every big Monster, may immediately move to another Area or if you are to slow
• Boulder: If an Area or Path is obstructed.
• Additional Failure Condition: self explaining if a state is reached the Quest will fail.
