For Beginners

After the Character Creation you are asked if you are a Beginner or not. The Choice depends in which Village Rank you start and when the Wandering Merchant arrives in Kokoto.

You are a Beginner

Village Quests

• You start with a Village Rank of 0★.
• The 1st Village Quest available is an "Urgent"-Quest "Basics: Finding Raw Meat" to reach 1★ Village Rank.
• After Completion the rest of the "Basics:..."-Quests are unlocked and you have to finish them too.
• When you completed every "Basics:..."-Quests you unlock "Your First Monster Hunt!".
• After that you have access to more Quests and the only 1★ "Key"-Quest "Raid the Wyvern's Nest".
• If you completed this quest, you have access to the 1★-"Urgent"-Quest "The Formidable Velocidrome" to reach 2★ Village Rank.

Wandering Merchant

• Arrives in Kokoto after finishing the 1★-"Urgent"-Quest "The Formidable Velocidrome".

You arn't a Beginner

Village Quests

• You start with a Village Rank of 1★.
• You have access to every 1★-Village-Quest
• You have access to the 1★-Urgent-Quest "The Formidable Velocidrome" to reach 2★ Village Rank.

Wandering Merchant

• Is in Kokoto from the get go.

General recommendation

• Always say that you aren't a Beginner, because there are no side effects.
• Early access to every Shop in the Game
• Tutorial is available for both choices
• Faster access to 2★-Village-Quests

Differences from Guild Quests

• Can only be played Solo and are weaker than during Low-Rank Guild Quests.
• Materials that are rewarded in Village Quests are the same than in Low-Rank Quests.
  • Therefore Village Quests may be easier to get Low-Rank Weapons and Armor.
• With the first Quests used as Tutorials it is suited for Beginners.
• Unlocking higher Village-★-Ranks unlocks more facilities for the Kokoto Farm and expand the Inventory of the Wandering Merchant.
• The Monoblos and White Monoblos can only be hunted during Village Quests.

How to Read

Urgent or Key

• Key Quest Complete every quest of this type on your current Village-★-Rank to unlock an Urgent Quest.
• Urgent Quest Complete this Quest to unlock the next Village-★-Rank and with it more difficult Quests.
• Optional Quest Self-explanatory, these are Quests for gathering materials.

Quest Info

• Objective: Shows your goal for the quest. In-Game Subspecies' aren't listed as a different monster, but they are here.
• Quest Rewards: If you complete a quest, you will be rewarded with materials. Some are rarer than others and amount of materials differs too. Some rewards may even require to break a monster part to be granted as a reward.
• Reward: For each faint you lose 33,3% of the possible rewards. Fainting three times the quest is failed.
• Contract Fee: The entry fee to go on a quest, you get double the amount back if you complete a quest. This fee is not returned if you fail the quest.
• Time Limit: The amount of time you have to finish a quest. If the Timer reaches Zero and the Objective is not achieved, the Quest fails.
• Location: The Location the Quest takes place. Some areas are very cold or hot so bring some Cool or Hot Drinks with you.
• Environment: An area is marked as "Unstable" if a monster, that is not the main objective, has invaded the location.
• HR Points: Finish a quest to gain Guild Points. For each faint during a quest, you will loose 10 Pts.
• Requirement: If there are other objectives you have to do first, this line will show up, otherwise it's absent.
• Monsters: Other big and small Monsters that appear during the Quest and are an integral obstacle during it.
• Requestor The individual or group who requested the Quest.
• Description The flavor text of the Quest.
• Notes Useful Information like Spawn Locations or obstructed Areas/Paths. For more Information see the next Section.

Notes Section

• Hint: Hints for the Quest like an Easy Route during an Egg Hunt etc.
• Area: Recommended Area to fight a monster in (reason why it's recommended)
• Cutscene: When visiting an area for the first time, it is possible that some areas may trigger Cutscenes.
• Spawn: the Spawn Area of every big Monster, may immediately move to another Area or if you are too slow
• Boulder: If an Area or Path is obstructed.
• Additional Failure Condition: self explaining if a state is reached the Quest will fail.
