In Monster Hunter Rise, Weapon Ramp-Up is a method of improving weapons further by augmenting them with Rampage Skills. Unlike in Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, all weapons, whether they are fully upgraded or not, can be ramped up. Each weapon has its own set of Rampage Skills, though weapons of the same tree generally have similar Rampage Skills.

Overview[]

Weapon Ramp-Up can be performed once the player has completed their first Rampage.

The materials needed to ramp up weapons are obtained mostly from the Rampage, with some require other materials as well.

When upgrading weapons with an installed Rampage Skill, the Skill is not lost and will be inherited by the upgraded weapon. This could result in a weapon with a Rampage Skill that is impossible to put on in its current form.

Rampage Skills[]

Rampage Skills are improvements that can be add to weapons, improving their stats. There are all sort of effects, ranging from increasing Attack or Defense to increasing Elemental or Ailment power or increasing damage against certain types of monsters to increasing damage against monster inflicted with certain elemental blight and some other utility effects. Some skills are unique to a weapon type or a weapon tree.

Rampage Weapons[]

Once the player has completed the first Apex Arzuros Rampage, the Rampage Tree for all weapon types are unlocked. Unique to this weapon tree is that they have multiple Rampage Skill slots in contrast to a single slot in all other weapons. Despite having multiple slots, the Rampage Skills that can be put in, however, are limited. Each slot has its own set of Rampage Skills that can be added to the weapon.
