Melissa (Japanese メリッサ) is a monster rider.

Appearance

Melissa is a woman with cat-like yellow eyes and straight long purple hair. She wears an ordinary Maiden's Armor set when she is working at the Laqua bar.

She wields a pair of Nargacuga Dual Blades tinted dark blue similar to that of Nargacuga [Fierce Water]'s bladewings.

Personality

Background

A waitress working in a bar in the Central City, Laqua.

Although she looks like a normal and fragile woman, she is actually a very skilled monster rider, and has strong bond with her monstie Nargacuga.

She likes to talk to people, and before she realized, she has become liked by people in the bar.

As the receptionist girl, she contributes significantly to the bar's sales.

Many Laqua vigillante unit, including Gurdy, go to the bar just to see her.

However, she has a secret, which is she is actually the Phantom Thief Nargatail who based in the Central City, Laqua. She is well known to the public as a "gentleman" as she only robs from those who recieved fortune from wrongdoing.

She works as the [Phantom Thief Nargatail] for a certain purpose, while also normally works as the bar girl Melissa in Laqua's bar, and takes this chance to collect various information from riders who go there. It's been since young age that Melissa has felt this complex inside her.

Recently, during her Nargatail works, there is a trend among bad guys in Laqua by subduing a Zinogre to use as their bodyguard as a sly countermeasure to exploit Nargacuga's weakness to Thunder element.

However, Nargatail is not stupid. In her hand the dual blades possessing an Ice element to exploit Zinogre's weakness, she continues her "works" as usual. No matter what countermeasures they take, the screams of the filthy merchants rocking every night of Laqua will not change.

Variant

Nargatail

Nargatail is the alter ego of Melissa working as a phantom thief in Laqua.

Appearance
As Nargatail, Melissa wears a super customized Nargacuga armor consists of the normal Nargacuga armor pieces albeit which several parts, such as the shoulder pauldrons removes. She also wears a tiny skirt made of Nargacuga blackfur, and the back of it is a black tail made of the same material. Instead of a normal Nargacuga helmet, she wears a masked that cover up her head down to the neck, but reveal a large portion of her face, and on the mask is a pair of cat-like ears and two ponytails made of the same material as the tail. She also wears high heeled boots that reach up to her upper legs with similar design to the armbraces, which are wrapped in red clothes in several X shapes.

Nargatail [Ice Shadow Blade]

[Ice Shadow Blade] is a weapon change form of Nargatail. Her element is now Ice instead of Water.

Appearance
As [Ice Shadow Blade], Nargatail wears the same armor as her original form. She wields a pair of Nargacuga dual blades tinted light blue similar to that of Nargacuga [Fierce Ice]'s bladewings.
