So, I know it's super exciting to have Narga returning and all, but I don't think we should list it on the MHW pages just yet, since:
A. That expansion ain't coming out for the better part of a year.
B. It's not included in vanilla MHW.
Most on the wiki would know better, but anyone just browsing might look at that and wonder "when the heck did they put Narga in MHW?" Not likely, but ya know... never a bad idea to cover your behind in case someone barges and whines about "misleading info" and "this wiki sucks, blah, blah, blah..."
On the other hand, you could just mention that it's coming in the expansion. Might even be a good idea to start thinking about how we handle Iceborne's content, since it's the first real expansion we've seen for the main series. Maybe take a cue from how we handle Frontier stuff? Not sure myself, but we've plenty of time to figure it out.
Apparently some person named Ruruxxx keep posting blogs in Korean to cover the Popular Blog Posts and Wiki Activity. One contributor told him to stop but he won't lesson and keep posting whatever he's saying on each posts.
The translated box on the 旧大陸地図 map says that kuruputiosu wetlands is the old swamp, whereas the key in the bottom right says jio telado is the old swamp; in other words the boxes are just the wrong way around... at least I think so anyway, maybe I'm wrong?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, I'm new to the site and wasn't really sure what else to do!
Hey, I just recently joined and want to know some things about contributing. First off, is there a common place to ask people if X would be a good addition to the page, etc. Once again, sorry if I'm asking in the wrong area.
So as you know, or may not know, I have been on this Wikia for quite some time and I do talk to Darg a lot and I was asking if I could become a mod to give you guys a hand, I do not take this in any way, shape or form of a position of power, but a position of responsibility and I really wanted to help out the wiki that I hold dearly to me, being a mod or admin is nothing new to me in fact I run a group page on facebook called Kontrolled Khaos ( Originally Planet Unity ) I was an admin for about 4 years and I am a producer for content on the Kontrolled Khaos Youtube Channel, while managing my own Channel. I love what I do and I would love to ensure this wiki is a great place, unfortunately the wiki has become a majority of ‘shit posting’ and I am well aware Darg can deal with this but No one is going to take me serious if i don’t have some sort of Modship or whatever, What I want to do, is make this a great place again while staying by and talking civil with our frequent members of the wiki, I really want to give Darg a hand and Mod with him. Being a mod comes with responsibilities and taking actions into your own hands, but you must approach a situation in the best possible way, I want to expand this Wiki with positive vibes and good feedback, you guys all are pretty nice and I am glad I could post a giant wall of words on your wall Banned, if i Cannot get the mod status, it is perfectly fine. Do not fret. Thanks again for having my time. Peace.
You know being a mod isnt enough without some serious changes that will limit "shitposting" while not entirely blocking it (Since completely blocking it would annoy some people but when everybody shitpost every hour, like you said,is more annoying)
And everybody in Discussion threads know that all threads(Doesnt matter if it is serious or not) eventually turns into a shitposting thread and this will still happen since no mod can look after us every second
Sooo i hope you have a proper solution for this "problem"
Yes, I believe it can be solved and I am well aware who those people who cause it, Either way I’d love to be a mod even if my role is miniscule. I take pride in these types of things, and no I will not flaunt it because that is wrong and that is being egotistical.
Your cause for asking is noble but you broke one of the first rules of becoming a mod, you never ask to become a mod. We'll still consider your request, just remember that.
Please don't start discussions on another's message board, it is usually just reserved for two individuals (Messanger and Receiver), unless you are one of the following or if that person gives you permission.
Hey there BannedLagiacrus, Doug from FANDOM here! I wanted to stop in and ask if you were aware of the Monster Hunter World USA Championship event taking place on July 28th, 2018 in San Francisco, CA? This is the first US-based event of it's kind and involves teams of two completing set hunts as fast as possible.
FANDOM has been chatting with Capcom and they wanted to gauge if any admins on our site would be interested in taking part in the event! Could you see yourself attending this event? I've been told there could even be a chance of Capcom paying for your travel to and from the event. The winner of this tournament will get to fly to Japan and compete in a tournament there.
Let me know if you're at all interested, I've reached out to a few other admins with the same offer to gauge general interest.
Go for it, just keep in mind that the Fish are characterized by three groups lore wise in Hunter's Encyclopedia 3: Migratory Fish (Japanese 回遊魚) = Tuna and Arowana, Swimming Fish (Japanese 遊泳魚) = Molid and Jellyfish, and Carnivorous Fish (Japanese 肉食魚) = Sharq, Catfish, and Gajau.
