Hello! We have an awesome partnership with Capcom for Pax East 2020. We have reserved slots for our active wiki editors at "Monster Hunter Festa" Saturday February 29th. If you plan on attending Pax please let me know. We'd love to hold a spot for you! You can email me directly at email@example.com or hit me on Discord HeyTots#1127
Hey there! Thank you for updating the Template:MHW Weapon Infobox for Iceborne. I missed seeing the changes or I would have commented sooner (too many emails from wiki edits...hahah). Just letting you know I made a slight change again to it to allow for automatically adding the "MHWI" categories to each weapon page and will be doing the same for the armor later today. This requires no changes to the pages, I'm simply removing the categories that were manually added to the weapon/armor pages :) If you see a lot of edits/changes to pages you worked on, that's why!
If you have any questions or concerns about my work please let me know and I'll be happy to answer you. Have a great day!
Hello again, I just wanted to add an apology for how the MHW Armor template worked. I saw many sad faces in the Armor Skills-English section to make the active skills actually display in the template properly. The code for infoboxes is kind of limited and this was the only way I could get it to display properly without some crazy/dumb errors.
If I can ever figure out a better way to have it display without requiring that I promise I will come back and fix it!
Edit: I figured out a really simple dumb fix for it (and I feel kind of dumb for not thinking to use it in the first place...lol). It (hopefully) shouldn't cause problems in the future. If it does, please let me know and I'll fix it ASAP!
Do you think we should set up a redirect of sorts on the MHW weapon tree pages that redirect players to MHWI so thats its easier to access if their looking for the weapon trees with Iceborne weapons included?
I'm Garrett and I'm a community manager here at Fandom. The Gaming community team at Fandom would like to reward users like you who have really made extraordinary contributions to our platform. I'm new to publishing content, but I have a spreadsheet that I am not sure on how to include with the page. I've been working on analysis of each weapon, utilizing the damage formula, and provides calculations for each sharpness available, and some skils (crit boost, crit elem, and manipulating the affinity to 100%). I've seen the weapons tree list, and it already has much of what my sheet has, with just the general info, so it would really be a matter of me adding in a few extra columns for sharpness selection, skill selection, and then the damage calculation. I've also provided my own subjective take "average sharpness", although this would be better backed up with the most common color within a whetstone's restoration (I believe 120 units). I have been unable to find these values and include them, but that's simply part of why I want to publish this to the wiki so that others can support it as well.
Lemme know what you think, I really appreciate the help, and all you've already done for the wiki!
Since I've seen that you've been editing the page "MHW: Insect Glaive Weapon Tree " a lot more than me, I was wondering, what do you prefer? Do you prefer that I add an visual form of all the sharpness bar or do you prefer to keep it as text? Because if you prefer to keep it written instead of with the actual sharpness bar, I won't add the other for the future. So I would like to know your preference.
After all, adding it visually is a lot more work than keeping it written!
Also, thanks for your incredible work on the wiki!
