Monster Hunter Now is an action role-playing mobile game developed by Niantic and published by Capcom. The game is being regularly updated, with a major update each season of the year and some minor events as well.
Gameplay
Monster Hunter Now features a simplified version of the usual Monster Hunter gameplay, but the main premise is the same: fighting monsters and using their materials to create weapons and armor. However, the game takes place in the real world and players will need to go outside to find and hunt monsters. Only three biomes are present in the game - forest, desert and swamp, and some monsters can appear in more than one of them.
Other features distinguish this game from others in the series, such as marking monsters with paintballs to hunt them later (even when they are miles away from the player) or driftsmelting (using special materials to add skills to armor pieces). Since the game is free, items such as potions and wander orbs can be purchased with gems, which in turn cost real money.
