Moofah are Herbivores introduced in Monster Hunter Generations.

Moofah are docile alpaca-like creatures known for their long shaggy fur. Males have longer horns than females. Domesticated Moofah have lighter-colored fur than their wild counterparts, and wear colored bows and bells.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter Generations
MHGen-Moofah Icon.png Small herbivores that can be found on the Deserted Island. Their soft, high-quality fur has been used since ancient times in clothing and ceremonial tools, and can be shaved off of them with cutting weapons. They are docile and raised as livestock in many regions.

General Notes

  • Cutting weapons can shear fur off Moofah, dropping a shiny.
  • There are several domesticated Moofah in Bherna and the Palico Ranch. They can be petted to obtain Moofah Fleeceballs once between quests.
  • A baby Moofah, Moofy, can be added to the hunter's home in Bherna, similar to Poogies in other villages.
