Mosswine can be observed in any climate that supports a large amount of plantlife. They are most commonly found in the jungle, forest & hills, and Sea of Trees. Given their small stature, they most likely need areas of dense vegitation to hide them from larger predators. The appear to have almost no adaptations to survive in extreme hot or cold areas, and that lack of grasses and shrubs in those areas would offer little sustanance for Mosswine.

Mosswine are gentle creatures by nature. Males are typically loners, but family groups will band together, if only for strength in numbers. Mosswine are also very timid, running from large predators. They do, however, possess one aggressive bone in their body. Mosswine will sometimes take to ramming an enemy in a fruitless defensive tactic. Mosswine young will instinctively hide in dense brush at the first sign of danger. Mosswine will squeal loudly as a form of communication.
