Taxonomy

Odibatorasu is an extremely large Quadrupedal Flying Wyvern. Like its relatives, Akantor and Ukanlos it too lacks wings. Some scientists claim that its size is greater than that of its two relatives, while others insist that they are all of equal size.

Habitat Range

These behemoths so far have only been seen inhabiting the brutal and barren Desert. Many are surprised that such a large creature can find enough food in such harsh surroundings.

Ecological Niche

Odibatorasu are highly opportunistic omnivores that will virtually eat anything they come across. They will feed on desert vegetation, Apceros, Genprey, Hermitaur, Cephadrome, etc. Odibatorasu are so massive and powerful that they are at the top of the food chain. Even powerful creatures such as Tigrex, Kuarusepusu, Hyujikiki, Diablos, Monoblos, Akura Vashimu, Unknown (Black Flying Wyvern), and Elder Dragons seen in the Desert will avoid these behemoths or they too would be eaten. The large and aggressive Diablos and Monoblos are also possible prey. Akura Vashimu are a particular favorite prey and Odibatorasu are well known for appearing in areas where outbreaks of the large scorpions occur. Odibatorasu have also been known to wipe out an entire species in an area.

Biological Adaptations

Odibatorasu have large shells on their backs that have numerous holes in them. These holes are getting rid of excess sand in their bodies after burrowing. On the top of their shells these creatures possess a large cannon-like hole that can actually fire huge balls of clumped sand at potential enemies. On the inside of their mouths Odibatorasu have a specialized organ that allows them to suck up huge amounts of sand. Like the shell cannon it too can shoot sand out at enemies.

Behavior

Relatively docile when undisturbed, Odibatorasu spend a vast majority of their time burrowing and searching for food. But due to their large size and strength they can cause massive and powerful sandstorms that are capable of destroying entire villages or towns. Where as Akantor is called the "Black God" and Ukanlos the "White God", the Odibatorasu is known as the "Sand God".
