Risen Shagaru Magala is an Elder Dragon and Risen variant of Shagaru Magala first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Physiology[]
Risen Shagaru Magala's appearance is noticeably different from a standard Shagaru Magala, with most of its body darkened with certain parts (their wings and head) retaining their tannish white coloring. At the tip of the wings, the tip of the tail, and their horns are wounds resembling burns, which have a bright orange glow upon entering its Risen state.
Abilities[]
This version of Shagaru Magala has overcome being afflicted by the Qurio and has become more powerful as a result. In addition to its heightened physical abilities and speed, it can use its wingarms to even more devastating effect, and it produces much larger quantities of Frenzy Virus that lend its attacks more power and a wider area of effect, with the majority of its physical attacks now leaving behind explosive frenzy pools and aftershocks. Its ability to summon Frenzy pillars is also enhanced, with its strongest attack now summoning multiple pillars that converge on a target before causing a massive explosion.
Behavior[]
Risen Shagaru Magala is considered a bigger threat than Shagaru Magala and even the Chaotic Gore Magala due to it having both the power of the Qurio and the Frenzy Virus combined. It is easily the strongest of the Risen Elder Dragons along with Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax.
