Risen Teostra is a male Elder Dragon and a Risen variant of Teostra first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Physiology[]
Risen Teostra's appearance is noticeably different from a standard Teostra, with most of its body darkened with the hair on its mane and tail appearing more orange and yellow, or even white. Its body is covered in wounds resembling burns, which have a bright orange glow upon entering its Risen state.
Behavior and Abilities[]
This version of Teostra has overcome being afflicted by the Qurio and has become more powerful as a result. In addition to its heightened physical abilities and firepower, it generates much more explosive powder, allowing it to unleash a nonstop barrage of explosions to decimate its surroundings. It also gains more fire attacks that can cover wider areas, along with being able to create a more devastating fiery supernova which sends out additional flaming shock waves when in the Risen state.

- Risen Teostra was added to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in the third Title Update along with Risen Kushala Daora, and Chaotic Gore Magala on November 24, 2022.
- Risen Teostra was voted 169th place in the Hunters' Choice for Top Monster during Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary.[1]
- This is also the lowest placement of the Risen Elder Dragons in the poll.
Monster Hunter Rise
- Melee paw swipes now create small jets of fire to extend their each.
- When summoning a line of explosive dust aimed at the target, now summons two lines in a V shape.
- Its targeted large explosion is now used twice in succession.
