Sanctuary Map

Sanctuary Map (MHF-Z)

Sanctuary is an area first introduced in Monster Hunter 4. It is an isolated, arena-like zone located inside the Heaven's Mount. It is characterized by its rocky outcroppings, fractured ground, and long, dry grass. Although this area is most-known for being the home of Shagaru Magala, other powerful species such as Rajang and Deviants can also be encountered.

Notes

• This area shares a base camp with the Heaven's Mount. However, during Sanctuary quests, the entrance to the Heaven's Mount is blocked by a large boulder, while during Heaven's Mount quests, the entrance to the Sanctuary is blocked by a stone door.
• Uniquely, instead of only darkening the sky, the frenzy produced by a Shagaru Magala and Gore Magala in Frenzy State will completely black-out the sky of the Sanctuary.
• According to the Cathar Elder, it is the original location for the outbreak of the Frenzy Virus.
• The Frontier rendition of this map is significantly larger, as well as removes the destructible boulder in the center of the area.
