The Scarlet Forest is a location first introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
It is a dense rainforest known for its vast plant life and rivers with their deep red hue, which is where the locale get its name. The region has continuous rainstorms and monsoons which influence the rivers, the water bodies being bright blue and vibrant when it's not raining and back to their reddish hue with raging rapids during the rainy season. The Scarlet Forest also features various ancient civilization ruins and large red webs made by Lala Barina. There's also an area full of honey, where Congalala and its pack resides.
The Scarlet Forest's state of Inclemency is the Downpour, a raging monsoon that floods the area and gives aquatic monsters an advantage in combat.
Its respective settlement is Wudwud Hideout.
