The sixth generation of Monster Hunter so far only consists of Monster Hunter Wilds for the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC systems. Past patterns suggest an expansion to Wilds, then a new portable-made title and its expansion after Wilds’ lifespan years in the future.
The sixth generation expands on what the Fifth Generation overhauled: seamless area transition, Monster Hunter: World’s Slinger, and both Raider Rides and Canyne mounts now taking the form of the reliable Seikret, even able to hold the player’s swappable weapon of choice in its pouch. A new primary feature are monster hordes, both for small and large monsters. The luring away of an individual from its pack seems to be emphasized and recommended.
