The Tenshou Element is a mixture of Elemental Effects which can be utilized offensively by both hunters and the monster, Shantien. It uses a combination of scorching flames, pressurized water and shocks of lightning against opponents to cause additional damage. Each part of the element has their own elemental value, being at 30% Fire, 70% Thunder and 100% Water, making the Water Element the only part at full power. The Tenshou Element is currently exclusive to the Frontier Series and was introduced at Monster Hunter Frontier G1. Shantien are the only monsters capable of using the Tenshou Element.
The Tenshou Element can be infused into weapons to cause additional elemental damage. When a tenshou weapon strikes, it will apply all three elemental values at once, but will either release a burst of flame, jolt of electricity or splash of water into the wound, the effect shown will be the one which is most effective on that part of the monster. Tenshou Element can be extremely effective against certain monsters.
