Interesting Facts About Crystalbeard Uragaan

  • Order: Saurischia
  • Suborder: Theropoda
  • Superfamily: Hammer Jaw Wyvern
  • Family: Gaan

  • "For years, in various volcanic regions, miners spoke about a monster known as Crystalbeard. This monster was said to have extremely rare, valuable jewels, and other treasures, on it, making it a walking gold mine waiting to be found. All who searched for this monster usually ended up being smashed by its treasure-covered chin, for letting greed get the best of them."
  • Uragaan usually rest in or on top of brown liquid oil. As a result, their tails and stomachs are usually covered in it. Crystalbeard Uragaan lives in rare areas where this liquid oil has dissolved special minerals inside of it. By resting in this stuff, Treasure Nuggets have crystallized on its chin and tail.
  • Due to this special ore being a staple food in its environment, Crystalbeard Uragaan has a darker appearance.
  • When Crystalbeard Uragaan rolls at foes, it'll actually send these rocks flying at foes out of its range.
  • Unlike Steel Uragaan's rocks, some of Crystalbeard Uragaan's beautiful ores have a sleepy effect to them, knocking potential predators out.
  • Compared to normal Uragaan, Crystalbeard Uragaan are more destructive with their chin slams.
  • According to an interview, they wanted to give Crystalbeard a different appearance that reflected its beauty, a treasure kind of way. They wanted to keep its concept like the other Deviants, however, Capcom added an additional theme to this monster: Getting rich!.
    • It is suggested that they wanted this to be a variant of Uragaan at first, but instead made it a Deviant due to wanting it to be a real threat despite its strange mechanic.
  • In the end, Crystalbeard Uragaan was given the ability to throw mineable ores, alongside being able to mine it, to make it different enough from the other Deviants.
