Wudwuds are Lynians introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Physiology[]

Wudwuds resemble anthropomorphic badgers mixed with otters. They have bear-like hands for manipulating tools and two distinctive canine teeth protruding from their upper jaw. WudWuds are often seen wearing clothes made of various natural materials found in their native habitat, most commonly large, hollowed-out mushroom caps worn as helmets.

Abilities[]

Intelligent and resourceful, Wudwuds are intelligent enough to craft complex tools to survive in their forest home, including staffs made of sharp seed-pods, clay pots for collecting honey, fishing rods, and their camouflaged clothing. They acquire other materials and tools they might need through trade with the other peoples of the Forbidden Lands.

Behavior[]

Wudwuds are bold creatures (often to a fault), demanding all visitors to their home to respect the forest; however, they are willing to offer safe passage to outsiders in exchange for tributes. This boldness can occasionally lead to humorous acts of recklessness when interacting with large monsters. For example, the WudWud chieftess Plumpeach was so enamored with the pink fur of a sleeping Congalala, she was willing to rip out it's eyebrows as it slept without even considering the dangerous consequences of waking it.

Notes[]

General Notes

  • Dialogue by Rove implies that the WudWud's ancestors were enslaved by Wyveria to work as water purifiers before the area became the Scarlet Forest.
