Taxonomy[]

Zenaserisu is a Flying Wyvern that was discovered by the Guild in the Mezeporta District.

History[]

While the hunting ban was being lifted off the Zenith Species, the Hunter's Guild was also investigating a new locale, now called the Painted Waterfalls, and discovered a predatory Flying Wyvern devouring the other species that inhabited it.[1] They named the monster Zenaserisu, the Water Cracking Wyvern.

Habitat Range[]

Zenaserisu is a native to the Painted Waterfalls, though some speculate that it could be an invasive species.[2][3]

Ecological Niche[]

Zenaserisu easily asserts itself as the apex predator of the Painted Waterfall, feeding on lesser creatures found within in its habitat such as Mosswine, Velociprey, Hermitaur, and endemic life.[4] Though a powerful monster, Zenaserisu has to be wary of Gore Magala and Seregios as well as Zenith Species like Zenith Toridcless and Bogabadorumu.

Biological Adaptations[]

  • Length: 1300cm[5]

Zenaserisu's outer shell is strong enough to repel attacks from other predatory monsters, and the scales that adorn it are razor-like, shredding through any assailants that dare strike it.[6] Water is usually found covering its scales, giving Zenaserisu its elegant, frail appearance.[7] Despite looking weak, Zenaserisu is surprisingly muscular and agile for its size, able to perform multiple flips in midair as it fights.[8] With its astonishing maneuvers, Zenaserisu can slice through prey with its sharp whip-like blades as it dances around them as it hunts.[9] These blades can be found on its wings, and are one of its primary weapons in combat. Its other weapon in combat is water. As its title suggests, Zenaserisu can manipulate the water element with great skill, breathing streams of it out of its mouth and tossing blades of out of its body via its wings and tail.[10]

Behavior[]

Zenaserisu has an aggressive predatory nature, preying upon anything lesser than it in its environment. Usually, it is seen drinking large quantities of water and has even been seen hanging upside under cliffs with its whip-like blades as it is sleeping, much like a bat.[11][12]
