Zenith Giaorugu are Brute Wyverns introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Z.
Physiology
Evolved Giaorugu that are slightly larger and more dangerous than their counterpart. The blue yellow tipped stegosaurus-like plates, on their neck through tail, further developed to become blue yellow tipped unique plates. On their head, the center horn grew a lot longer while the rest of their horns grew slightly longer, the center of their head are covered with white frost, and their tusks grew slightly longer. Lastly, instead of having a large blade-like tails, Zenith Giaorugu tails heavily developed over the years to become an yellow anchor-like shape.
While taking enough damage, in combat, Zenith Giaorugu are capable of making the plates on their backs glow red and sometimes encrust them in ice.
Abilities
They still kept the ability to cartwheel their bodies forward to attack hunters, shoot ice beams, put their tails in the ice floor to encrusted them with ice to attack hunters, and short burst of ice breath attacks. When their anchor-like tails are slammed on the ice floor, near hunters, Zenith Giaorugu are capable of causing quakes that will lose the hunters balance close to them. Not only that, they can suck up all the cold air and release it on the ice floor, causing it to be covered in a huge gust that heavily damages hunters.
Similar to Glavenus spin attacks, they stay in a current spot to hold their heavily developed tails up in the air, or sideways, to later unleash tail spin attacks on hunters. It can also make a combo attack with their tails and short range ice breath attacks.
Also, their ice-based attacks can drain hunter's stamina dramatically. When the stamina is all gone, the hunters will be frozen in place.
Habitat
Like normal Giaorugu, they only live in the Polar Sea which they are dependent on for their ice-tail attacks. However, despite this they can also be encountered in the Fortress Ruins.
