Zenith Gravios are Flying Wyverns introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Z Zenith.
Physiology[]
Evolved Gravios that are bulkier than their counterpart. Zenith Gravios' back and chest plates feature large openings developed over years, causing the remaining plating to form around them. Their club-like tails developed to have barb-like shape at the end with a couple of lined spikes and a rugged length shape. Zenith Gravios noses have developed a smokestack-like opening in them, while their crest and chin are even more rugged. Lastly, Zenith Gravios developed spikes on their necks and developed backs.
When exhausted, the fissures on their front and back plating, as well as the smokestack-like nose aperture, glow fiercely with lava.
Abilities[]
Zenith Gravios will start a battle with a devastating roar that requires Earplug Boost skills to ignore.
It possesses a more powerful heat beam that is either hot enough to effortlessly melt rock, or is lava-based, leaving pools of lava that linger for a very short time. It can also release small bursts of flame when it bites an enemy, for additional damage.
It's underside now emits globs of lava instead of flammable gas, even when not enraged, and it is now strong enough to cause small explosions and quakes with it's stomps. It's back-mounted fissure can erupt, launching lava bullets that rain down on a foe.
Zenith Gravios can use it's tail for swings and explosion-causing slams, the later of which it can use to propel itself towards a foe.
Finally, it can perform deadly tackles that end with a brief burst of fire in a wide area of effect, much like Varusaburosu.
If stunned, Gravios will roll to prevent hunters from attacking it, leaving only a brief window before it regains it's footing.
Habitats[]
Zenith Gravios are known to inhabit the Volcano, and can be found in the Battleground.
